San Diego Unified School District participates in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Our schools have agreed to maintain the ethical standards created by the CIF and to abide by CIF regulations. Participation in the interscholastic athletics, governed by the CIF, is a privilege and may be negatively affected by a student’s or parent’s decision to transfer to another school. For any questions regarding athletic eligibility, please contact your school’s vice principal in charge of athletics or the school athletic director.

 

The district requires a minimum of a 2.0 academic and 2.0 citizenship grade point average to be eligible for athletics and extracurricular activities. Students must have a passing grade in a minimum of four classes to be eligible for athletics. A grade of "NC" (no credit) counts as an "F" for athletic eligibility.
