Design and Technology Academy (DaTA)
The Design and Technology Academy (DaTA) at Madison brings math, science and technology to life through hands-on, interdisciplinary projects. Students take academic and career technical classes in grades 9-12.  The academy uses Project Lead the Way curriculum to help students develop foundation skills in engineering and design principals that prepare them for college.  DaTA is a designated Academy of Engineering by the National Academy Foundation and was recently selected as a California Partnership Academy.

In DaTA, students take a series of engineering and design classes, work in teams on interdisciplinary projects, and participate in a variety of academy activities.  They are exposed to professional and technical careers in engineering, design and technology through college field trips, job shadows and internships.  As juniors, students have a mentor from industry who advises them on projects, encourages their achievement in school, and discusses postsecondary and career plans. Learn more about our upcoming academy activities.

DaTA is home to the Devil Duckies, Madison's award winning FIRST Robotics team.
